It started as a winter project, a dream I had been nurturing for a long time. As a passionate cyclist, I always wanted to build a classic Colnago bike, and finally, the opportunity presented itself. With the cold weather keeping me indoors, I decided to start working on this project, with the aim of having it ready for the upcoming season.

After scouring various bike shops and online stores, I finally got my hands on a beautiful old Colnago frame, complete with some original components. I was thrilled to start working on this bike, to bring it back to its former glory and create a masterpiece that I would be proud to ride.

The first step was to strip the bike down to its bare frame, inspecting each component carefully and making a list of what needed to be replaced, restored, or refurbished. This was a labor-intensive process, but it was also incredibly satisfying. Each piece of the bike was carefully examined and treated with the utmost care and attention.

With all the parts ready for refurbishment, I set about carefully cleaning and polishing each component, using specialized tools to get into every nook and cranny. The bearings were replaced, and all the parts were regreased to ensure smooth operation.

After several weeks of hard work, the bike was finally coming together. I replaced the old cables, brakes, and chain, and added some finishing touches, including extra polishing to ensure that the bike shone like new. The result was a stunning Colnago bike, complete with classic components and a beautiful paint job.

As I took the bike out for its first ride, I was filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. It was a joy to ride, with smooth operation and excellent performance. This was a bike that I had created from scratch, and it was a true masterpiece that I was proud to call my own.

In conclusion, building a classic Colnago bike was a dream come true for me, and it was a winter project that was well worth the effort. With all the parts and bearings completely refurbished, regreased, and polished, the major work was done, and the bike was ready to ride. Awaken from the winter sleep... Ragmeg went hunting for some good old Vintage steel. So what did we find?

A fabric new KTM Strada from the early 90s with no scratch on the paint, a beautiful pearl violett. These are the treasures you want to have seen taken care of, and this definetly has been taken care of by a collector.

The other Steel, a Giant Peloton, can be described as a classic antifragile piece... kick it, throw it, drive with it on damaged streets... and it remains still the undisputed work horse for your daily rides in the city or on the roads.

As the days start to get shorter and the temperature begins to drop, it's easy to feel a sense of melancholy as the carefree days of summer come to an end. But for us, the end of summer signals the start of an exciting new season - bike building season!

After a long summer break's hangover, it's time to get back to work and start building some new-old bikes. We're excited to dive into our collection of vintage frames and components and start piecing together some beautiful rides that are both functional and stylish.

Building a bike from scratch is a labor of love that requires patience, skill, and a keen eye for detail. Ragmeg Crew done did it again!

In the last days of summer, the duty to go around Balaton once was fulfilled.

3 Snickers, 2 bananas, 2 Cokes and 1 litre of water were enough and for the last 20 kilometres we had to grit our teeth to keep up the average speed.

The goal for next year is to attack the 7 hours 15 minutes.

A Short and cool bike tour through Italy took some ragmeg followers to Grado in a nearby Steel Vintage Bike Workhsop with beautiful Bianchi Bikes. We thank our Fans for sending us this nice Picture! Ragmeg Crew is wishing all a nice summer, stay safe and see each other soon after summer break!

We were recently invited by a collector to take a closer look at his impressive steel vintage bike collection in Austria, and we were blown away by what we saw. Not only were the frames in impeccable condition, but the collector also had a stunning array of high-class Campagnolo and DuraAce components to go along with them.

As vintage bike enthusiasts ourselves, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to see such a beautiful collection up close. The bikes were truly works of art, with intricate lug work, beautiful paint jobs, and stunning attention to detail. And the components were just as impressive, with top-of-the-line Campagnolo and DuraAce parts that had been lovingly cared for over the years.

As we examined each bike and component in detail, we couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the passion and dedication that had gone into building and maintaining such an incredible collection. It was clear that the collector had a deep appreciation for vintage bikes and a keen eye for quality and craftsmanship.

We were grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from the collector and to see firsthand the level of expertise and care that goes into building and maintaining a vintage bike collection of this caliber. And we were inspired to continue our own work at Ragmeg, restoring and building beautiful vintage bikes that will stand the test of time.
